Lisa DeSisto is the\u00a0CEO and\u00a0publisher\u00a0for Maine Today Media (MTM).\u00a0 <\/a>MTM\u00a0publishes The Portland Press Herald\/Maine Sunday Telegram<\/a>, Kennebec Journal<\/a>, Morning Sentinel<\/a>, and The Coastal Journal<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 DeSisto grew up in Stoneham, Massachusetts and\u00a0attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.\u00a0 DeSisto graduated with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Communications with a minor in Film.\u00a0 Stevoe and DeSisto opened the interview by discussing their narrow degrees of seperation.\u00a0 Some of these include that both have spent time by the “banks of the river Charles” and both have\u00a0had encounters with Nancy Kerrigan.<\/p>\n

Before joining MTM in November 2012, she held a variety of positions at The Boston Globe.\u00a0 Most recently, she served as Chief Advertising Officer for The Boston Globe and General Manager for Boston.com. DeSisto spent most of her career at The Boston Globe as the VP\/General Manager of Boston.com directing the site\u2019s development into the most visited local media website in New England. She joined Boston.com as marketing manager just two days after the site\u2019s launch in 1995.<\/p>\n

Before joining the Globe, she held marketing positions at The Boston Phoenix, Boston Magazine and WRKO Radio. In 2006, DeSisto was named \u201cOnline Innovator of the Year\u201d by the Newspaper Association of America.\u00a0 Boston Magazine named her one of the \u201cMost Powerful Women in Boston\u201d. While in Boston, she served on the executive committee of the Ad Club of Boston and on the board of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.<\/p>\n

DeSisto lives in North Yarmouth with her husband, Tim and their son, Andrew.\u00a0 DeSisto told Stevoe how pleased and impressed she has been with the Maine school system and that her son is flourishing.\u00a0 She is also a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
