Show:<\/strong>\u00a0117 Professor of Political Science at the University of Maine and blogger for the Bangor Daily News\u00a0Amy Fried was born in New York. She chose to go to college in California and graduated with her bachelors degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University. \u00a0She was then off to Minnesota. Here she earned her Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. \u00a0Fried discussed with Stevoe how she decided to make her life’s work Political Science, and how it wasn’t her first area of focus.<\/p>\n In September of 1997 Fried began teaching as a professor of Political Science at the University of Maine<\/a>. Fried teaches and writes about citizens\u2019 political involvements and values, and on how politicians and government monitor and use public opinion for political and governing purposes.<\/p>\n
